SARKAR RAJ

Intrigue and drama prevail in this tale of political power. Unaffected by the media hype and the grand-larger than life celebrations of the 60th birthday of Sarkar, a low profile but highly powerful Shankar, now a master high profile backroom politics, sends warning signals to the central government not to take Maharashtra lightly. Though the Nagre's are yet again running a puppet government - the deputy CM, Karunesh Kanga is on a constant collision with Sunil Shinde, the CM, two constituents of a precarious coalition. It is in this backdrop, Anita Rajan, the CEO of Sheppard power plant project, along with the CM and a power broker Hassan Qazi bring a proposal to set up a power plant in the Thakerwaadii village in the rural Maharashtra. A Sarkar lashes out at the CM for even thinking about such anti-people development plans as the project shall make a big number of poor farmers homeless. Thakerwaadii also happens to be the "Karmabhoomi "of Sarkar's political Guru, Rao Saab
